Physiotherapy Services in Antrim
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Antrim premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Antrim sits on the north-eastern shore of Lough Neagh, the largest freshwater lake in the British Isles, where the Six Mile Water flows in. Its round tower at Steeple, over a thousand years old, is one of the best preserved in Ireland. Antrim Castle Gardens, with their seventeenth-century canals and formal planting, lie beside the river close to the town centre.
The town expanded quickly from the 1960s, and estates such as Greystone, Springfarm, Ballycraigy and Parkhall were built for new industry and families. Many homes are two-storey terraces and semis with straight stairs, alongside bungalows and newer developments on the edges. The ground is gently undulating, so most routes into town are manageable once strength returns.
The Castle Gardens and the Lough Shore Park, with its long lakeside path and views across the water, are the most popular walking goals. Junction One, the retail outlet near the motorway, and the High Street are the usual places for errands. Antrim station has trains to Belfast and Derry, and the town is close to Belfast International Airport.
Antrim Area Hospital, part of the Northern Health and Social Care Trust, stands on the edge of the town and treats most local patients. Community rehabilitation is arranged through the same trust. Our home physiotherapy is a private service, and we are happy to pick up where your hospital or community therapist left off.
