Physiotherapy Services in Yorkshire & North East
This page is the region-level guide for Home Physio And Rehab in Yorkshire and the North East. It brings together two official English regions, Yorkshire and the Humber, and the North East, and divides them into three hubs: Leeds & Yorkshire, Sheffield & South Yorkshire, and Newcastle & North East. Choose the hub nearest to the address where treatment would happen.
We do not operate a clinic or office anywhere in Yorkshire or the North East. Home Physio And Rehab is registered in Harrow, north-west London, and every appointment is a home visit. The physiotherapist who visits may travel some way to reach you, so naming a city or county here is not a promise that we can visit your street. Please use the postcode checker for a real answer.
The Leeds & Yorkshire hub covers West Yorkshire, Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Kirklees and Calderdale, together with York, Harrogate and North Yorkshire, and east to Hull and the Yorkshire coast. The Sheffield & South Yorkshire hub covers the four South Yorkshire boroughs of Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster. The Newcastle & North East hub covers Tyneside, Wearside, County Durham, Northumberland and Teesside.
This is a large and physically varied part of England. The A1(M) and the M1 run north to south, the M62 crosses the Pennines, and between them lie the Yorkshire Dales, the North York Moors and Northumberland's hills and coast, all thinly populated and slow to travel. The cities, by contrast, are dense and often hilly, which affects how people manage stairs, kerbs and slopes after an illness or operation.
Housing reflects the region's industrial past. Stone-built terraces cling to valley sides in Calderdale and Kirklees, Leeds still has thousands of back-to-back houses, Sheffield's streets climb its many hills, and Tyneside has its own distinctive upper and lower flats in long terraces. Former pit villages across Durham and South Yorkshire have compact homes close to the road. Your physiotherapist plans around the stairs, thresholds and furniture in your own home, because that is where you need to be confident.
Home Physio And Rehab is independent and not part of the NHS. Patients often contact us after leaving large teaching hospitals in Leeds, Sheffield or Newcastle, or when they want more rehabilitation than their NHS community team can offer. We follow the guidance given at discharge and are glad to fit around existing care.
