Physiotherapy Services in South West
This page is the starting point for Home Physio And Rehab in the South West of England. It does not describe one town. Instead it shows how our South West pages are arranged, so that you can find the hub that sits closest to the address where physiotherapy would take place. There are two hubs here: Bristol & West Country, and Devon & Cornwall.
No clinic, branch or office of ours exists in the South West. We are a home-visit service registered in Harrow, in north-west London, and the physiotherapist who comes to you may travel a long way to get there. That matters more in this region than almost anywhere else in England, because the peninsula stretches well over two hundred miles from the Severn to Land's End. Whether we can help depends on your exact postcode and on which clinicians are free when you ask.
The Bristol & West Country hub looks after the northern and eastern side of the region. That includes the city of Bristol and its neighbours in the West of England combined authority area, Bath and North East Somerset and South Gloucestershire, along with North Somerset, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset and the Dorset coast around Bournemouth and Poole. Most of its population lives along the M4 and M5 corridors, but there are also Cotswold villages and Somerset Levels hamlets a long way from a main road.
The Devon & Cornwall hub covers the far south-west. Exeter, Plymouth and Torbay hold most of Devon's people, while Cornwall is a single unitary council area with no city larger than Truro and a long, broken coastline of small towns. Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin Moor separate many communities, and in summer holiday traffic can turn a short journey into a long one. Island addresses, such as those on the Isles of Scilly, are not something we can normally reach.
The South West has one of the oldest age profiles in England, and many retired people live in coastal towns some distance from family. That makes home physiotherapy especially useful after a fall or an operation, when getting to an outpatient appointment is hard. It also means we hear often from sons and daughters who live elsewhere in the country. If that is you, please check your parent's postcode, not your own, and make sure they are happy for us to be in touch.
Homes vary enormously across the region: Georgian townhouses with many flights of stairs in Bath and Clifton, stone cottages with low beams and step-down kitchens in Cornwall, post-war houses in Plymouth, and modern bungalows on the edge of market towns. Your physiotherapist plans exercises and practice around the house you actually live in, which is the main advantage of being treated at home.

Support to improve breathing, endurance and recovery for respiratory and cardiac conditions.

Helping people living with persistent or complex pain improve function and quality of life.

Specialist care for women through pregnancy, after birth and beyond.
