Physiotherapy Services in Midlands
This is the Midlands region page for Home Physio And Rehab. It is a signpost rather than a local page: it explains how our Midlands pages fit together so you can move quickly to the one closest to where you, or the person you care for, actually live. Two hubs sit beneath it, Birmingham & West Midlands and Nottingham & East Midlands, and each of those links on to individual city pages.
We do not run a clinic or office anywhere in the Midlands. Home Physio And Rehab is a home-visit service registered in Harrow, north-west London, and the physiotherapist who sees you may travel some distance to reach your door. A visit can only be arranged where a suitable clinician is free, so please treat the place names on this page as a description of the region, not a list of guaranteed destinations. The postcode checker is the only reliable answer.
On the western side, the Birmingham & West Midlands hub gathers the pages for Birmingham itself, Solihull, Coventry and Wolverhampton. The old metropolitan county of the West Midlands is made up of seven boroughs, Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton, and since 2017 they have shared a combined authority with an elected mayor. Beyond that urban core the hub reaches out towards Staffordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Shropshire, where homes are more spread out and travel times grow quickly.
On the eastern side, the Nottingham & East Midlands hub holds the pages for Nottingham, Leicester and Derby, three cities that sit within roughly thirty miles of one another and are tied together by the M1 and the Midland Main Line. Around them are Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Northamptonshire and much of Lincolnshire, a mix of former coalfield towns, market towns and long stretches of farmland.
Housing across the Midlands is unusually varied, and that shapes how a physiotherapist plans a home programme. Black Country terraces often have a steep straight staircase and a narrow back yard. Interwar semis in places like Solihull or West Bridgford usually give more room for walking practice. Converted mills, canal-side flats with lifts, Peak District cottages with uneven floors and bungalows in Lincolnshire villages all call for a different starting point, which is one reason we always ask about the home before a first visit.
Families in this region are often split across cities: a son in Leicester, a mother in Wolverhampton, a sister near Derby. If you are organising help for a relative, put their postcode into the checker rather than your own. The person receiving treatment should agree to it, and with their permission we are happy to keep you updated.
Home Physio And Rehab is independent and is not part of the NHS. Some people come to us after discharge from hospitals such as the Queen Elizabeth in Birmingham or the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham, and others want private help alongside NHS community therapy. Either way, your physiotherapist will work within any precautions your hospital team has set.
