Physiotherapy Services in Ashford
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Ashford premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Ashford is a suburban town in the Spelthorne borough of Surrey, just south of Heathrow Airport. Once a village of market gardens, it grew rapidly after the railway arrived in 1848 and is now a busy residential area within easy reach of London.
Church Road is the main shopping street, with cafés, a library and local businesses, and Woodthorpe Road runs past the station. St Matthew's Church, rebuilt in the 1860s, stands at the heart of the older part of town.
Fordbridge Park on the eastern side has open lawns, a playground and level footpaths. The large Queen Mary Reservoir lies to the west, and Laleham, a short way south, gives access to the Thames towpath.
Housing includes Victorian and Edwardian houses near the station, plenty of inter-war semis and bungalows, and flats close to the town centre. Many homes have a short front path and one or two steps, which become key practice points after an operation.
Ashford sits within NHS Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care Board. Ashford Hospital itself is on London Road, with St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey part of the same trust, and we provide private physiotherapy at home after people are discharged from either.
Ashford station is on the line between London Waterloo and Reading, and buses run to Staines, Feltham and Kingston. Many patients want to walk to Church Road again, catch the train or stroll in Fordbridge Park.
Aircraft noise and busy main roads can make outdoor walks tiring, so we often begin on the quieter residential roads around Ashford Common before heading into the town centre.
The Thames towpath at Laleham is flat and peaceful, which makes it a good destination for longer walks once stamina has returned.

Specialist care for women through pregnancy, after birth and beyond.

Reducing the risk of falls and improving safe, confident movement at home and in the community.

Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor to support bladder, bowel and core function.
