Banchory is a town on Royal Deeside, Aberdeenshire, on the River Dee west of Aberdeen. Its High Street has independent shops, cafés and the Douglas Arms, and the town is known as a gateway to the Cairngorms.
The Bridge of Feugh, just south of town, is famous for its salmon leap, where fish can be seen jumping the falls in autumn. Scolty Hill, topped by a monument, offers woodland walks and views over the Dee valley.
Crathes Castle, a sixteenth-century tower house with famous gardens managed by the National Trust for Scotland, lies just east. The Deeside Way, a former railway line, offers flat walking and cycling towards Aberdeen and Aboyne.
Housing includes Victorian villas, granite cottages, post-war homes and large modern estates at Hill of Banchory. Many residents commute to Aberdeen, while others have retired to the area.
NHS Grampian provides local services. Glen O'Dee Hospital in Banchory offers some community care, while most surgery and emergencies take place at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. We continue rehabilitation at home.
Goals include watching the salmon at the Bridge of Feugh, walking the Deeside Way or climbing Scolty Hill again.
Banchory's Woodend Barn arts centre hosts films, concerts and exhibitions, and the Banchory Show in summer celebrates Deeside farming. Blackhall Forest and the Burn o' Bennie trail offer sheltered walks near the town, while the Milton of Crathes, with its heritage railway platform, craft shops and riverside café, is a pleasant outing. Bellfield Park and the bowling club keep many residents active through the lighter months.

Reducing the risk of falls and improving safe, confident movement at home and in the community.

Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor to support bladder, bowel and core function.

Supporting people living with or recovering from cancer to rebuild strength and quality of life.
