Physiotherapy Services in Bridgnorth
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Bridgnorth premises to walk into. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Bridgnorth is a market town in south-east Shropshire, built on both banks of the River Severn. It is split between High Town, perched on a sandstone cliff, and Low Town beside the river.
The Cliff Railway, opened in 1892, links the two halves and is the steepest inland funicular in Britain. The Cartway and several flights of steps also climb the cliff, making stairs part of daily life here.
The ruined castle keep leans at a sharper angle than the Tower of Pisa, and Castle Walk gives fine views over the Severn valley. Thomas Telford designed St Mary Magdalene's Church, and the Severn Valley Railway runs steam trains from the town.
Housing includes Georgian and timber-framed buildings in High Town, cottages cut into the cliff, Victorian terraces in Low Town and recent developments at Tasley and Oldbury. Steep steps and lanes are a constant feature.
NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Integrated Care Board commissions care. Bridgnorth patients are usually treated at the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford or the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, and Bridgnorth Community Hospital is in the town. We continue rehabilitation privately at home.
Buses link the town with Telford, Wolverhampton and Kidderminster. Typical aims include the High Street market under the Town Hall arches, Castle Walk or a ride on the Severn Valley Railway.
Castle Walk is level and lined with benches, so it is an excellent early outing for people living in High Town.
For those in Low Town, we practise steps and slopes so the Cliff Railway or the Cartway feel manageable.

Reducing the risk of falls and improving safe, confident movement at home and in the community.

Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor to support bladder, bowel and core function.

Supporting people living with or recovering from cancer to rebuild strength and quality of life.
