Physiotherapy Services in Cardiff
Home Physio And Rehab is based in Harrow, north-west London, and has no clinic or office in Cardiff. Every appointment is a home visit, and the physiotherapist who visits you may be based elsewhere and travel to your home. Whether we can see you depends on your postcode and on therapist availability at the time you ask.
Cardiff is a compact capital, but its housing varies a great deal from one district to the next. Roath, Cathays and Canton are dominated by Victorian bay-fronted terraces with steep, narrow stairs and a bathroom often added at the back of the ground floor or squeezed onto the landing. Further north, Llanishen, Rhiwbina and Whitchurch have more 1930s semis and bungalows, while Cardiff Bay and the city centre have many flats where a working lift and a level route to the street make a real difference to recovery after an operation.
Many people want to get back to walking in Bute Park, around Roath Park Lake or along the Taff Trail, which is mostly flat and has plenty of places to stop. Others want to manage the bus into town again or walk to the shops on City Road or Albany Road. Setting goals around these routes keeps sessions practical, and progress is easier to notice when it is tied to something you already do.
The University Hospital of Wales in Heath and University Hospital Llandough are the main hospitals for Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, run by Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. We are a private service, independent of NHS Wales and of the health board, and we do not receive your hospital records automatically, so please share your discharge letter and any precautions you were given. If you would prefer some sessions in Welsh, mention it when you enquire and we will tell you honestly whether that is possible.
