Physiotherapy Services in Chertsey
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Chertsey premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Chertsey is an old market town in Surrey on the south bank of the Thames, once home to one of the largest abbeys in England. Today only fragments of the abbey remain, but the town keeps a historic feel in its Georgian streets.
Chertsey Bridge, a seven-arched stone bridge built in the 1780s, crosses the Thames on the edge of town. The riverside path from the bridge is flat and peaceful, perfect for building up walking ability.
Chertsey Meads, a large area of open grassland along the river, provides gentle walks and fresh air. It can be muddy after rain, so we plan outdoor sessions around the weather and ground conditions.
St Peter's Hospital, one of the main hospitals in Surrey, is on the edge of Chertsey. The town falls under NHS Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care Board, and our private visits can continue care at home after someone leaves St Peter's.
Guildford Street and Windsor Street hold the shops and cafes, with the museum and library close by. Getting to these on foot from home is a common goal for people recovering from surgery or illness.
Housing includes Victorian terraces, post-war estates and newer developments at Abbey Mead. Many older properties have narrow stairs, while flats can involve communal stairs or lifts.
Addlestone and Ottershaw lie to the south, with Thorpe Park and the M25 nearby. Busy roads mean safe crossing and confident walking on pavements are often part of the plan.

Specialist home-based rehabilitation to improve movement, strength, balance and independence for people living with neurological conditions.

Helping older adults maintain mobility, strength and independence safely at home.

Safe, structured recovery after surgery to restore strength, mobility and function at home.
