Physiotherapy Services in Craigavon
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Craigavon premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Craigavon was planned in the 1960s as a new city linking the older towns of Lurgan and Portadown in County Armagh. The full plan was never completed, so today the area is a mix of the two historic towns, the newer estates of Brownlow and Tullygally between them, and large stretches of open ground. The centre at Highfield has the civic offices and the Rushmere shopping centre.
The new-town layout separates people from traffic. Many estates have footpaths and underpasses that run away from the roads, which can feel safe and level but also long and sometimes isolated, and the road network is known for its roundabouts. In Lurgan and Portadown the housing is older, with terraces and semis near the centres, while the surrounding villages have many bungalows.
Craigavon Lakes, with their level shoreline paths, are a natural place to rebuild walking once you are steady outdoors, and Lurgan Park, one of the largest public parks in Northern Ireland, offers shorter loops near the lake. People in Portadown often want to walk by the River Bann or get back to the shops on High Street. Both towns have stations on the line between Belfast and Newry.
Craigavon Area Hospital, managed by the Southern Health and Social Care Trust, is the main acute hospital for the area, so many local people come home from there after surgery or an emergency admission. Community rehabilitation is arranged by the same Trust. Our physiotherapists work privately and independently, so please share any discharge information or exercise sheets and we will continue from where the ward team left off.

Rehabilitation of bones, joints, muscles and ligaments following injury, surgery or degenerative change.
