Physiotherapy Services in Dromore
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Dromore premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Dromore is a historic town in County Down, on the River Lagan between Lisburn and Banbridge. It has been a religious centre since St Colman founded a monastery here in the sixth century, and the Church of Ireland cathedral still bears his name.
The Market Square has an ancient high cross and the old town stocks. Dromore Mound, a large Norman earthwork, rises on the edge of town, and the old railway viaduct crosses the Lagan valley.
A riverside walk follows the Lagan through the town, with mostly level paths and benches. Gallows Street, Church Street and Bridge Street hold shops, cafés and pubs around the square.
Homes include Georgian and Victorian terraces near the Market Square, bungalows, and newer estates on the outskirts. Older houses often have narrow staircases, and some streets climb steadily from the river.
Dromore is covered by the Southern Health and Social Care Trust. People are usually treated at Craigavon Area Hospital, and we continue their rehabilitation privately once they are home.
There is no railway station, but Ulsterbus and Goldline services link Dromore with Belfast, Banbridge and Newry. Common goals include walking to the Market Square, the cathedral or along the river.
The Lagan riverside walk is flat and close to the centre, which makes it a good first outdoor walk after a hip or knee operation.
The climb to Dromore Mound is steep, so we treat it as a later goal once strength and stamina have built up.

Support to improve breathing, endurance and recovery for respiratory and cardiac conditions.

Helping people living with persistent or complex pain improve function and quality of life.

Specialist care for women through pregnancy, after birth and beyond.
