Physiotherapy Services in Fraserburgh
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Fraserburgh premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Fraserburgh, known locally as the Broch, is one of the largest shellfish ports in Europe, on the north-east corner of Aberdeenshire. Kinnaird Head, at the edge of the town, has the first lighthouse built by the Northern Lighthouse Board, now home to the Museum of Scottish Lighthouses. The harbour, with its fishing fleet and fish market, is still the heart of the local economy.
The town is mostly flat near the harbour and the centre, which helps with walking practice. Houses range from granite terraces and cottages in Broadsea and the old town to post-war council estates and modern bungalows. Many fishing families live in older granite homes with steep stairs and small rooms, and we plan around that layout.
The beach esplanade, stretching south towards Philorth and Cairnbulg, gives long, level walking with views across the bay, and is a favourite goal. Broad Street and the Saltoun Square area are the main places for errands. Fraserburgh has no railway station, so buses to Peterhead and Aberdeen are the main links.
NHS Grampian provides hospital care, with Aberdeen Royal Infirmary as the main acute site and Fraserburgh Hospital offering local inpatient and outpatient services. Community rehabilitation is coordinated by the Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership. We visit independently and work alongside any local care you receive.
Weather on this exposed corner of the coast shapes recovery: a north-easterly off the sea can make an esplanade walk feel twice as long, so we plan sheltered alternatives such as Mid Street and the Fraserburgh Leisure Centre on rough days. Many retired fishermen and fish workers live here, and grip, back and shoulder problems from years of heavy work are common.

Reducing the risk of falls and improving safe, confident movement at home and in the community.

Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor to support bladder, bowel and core function.

Supporting people living with or recovering from cancer to rebuild strength and quality of life.
