Physiotherapy Services in Gravesend
Home Physio And Rehab is based in Harrow, north-west London, and has no clinic or office in Gravesend. Every appointment is a home visit, and the physiotherapist who visits you may be based elsewhere and travel to your home. Whether we can see you depends on your postcode and on therapist availability at the time you ask.
Gravesend is a historic riverside town on the south bank of the Thames estuary in north Kent. Its town pier, the Fort Gardens and the riverside promenade give level walking with views of passing ships, and a ferry crosses to Tilbury. Pocahontas, who died in the town in 1617, is commemorated at St George's Church.
Behind the river, the town rises towards Windmill Hill, so some streets are steep. Homes include Victorian and Edwardian terraces near the centre, post-war estates at Kings Farm and Riverview Park, and larger houses in Singlewell and Istead Rise. Northfleet sits to the west. We adapt practice to the stairs and slopes of each home.
The town has a large Sikh community, and the Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara is among the largest in Europe. Goals often include walking to the gurdwara, the market or the town centre, managing the train to London, or walking along the promenade. We plan each in stages, practising stairs and kerbs at home first.
Hospital care for Gravesend is mainly provided at Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford. We are independent of the NHS, so please keep your discharge summary and any restrictions to hand. We then build exercises around your recovery and the routes you most want back.
Gravesend stands on the south bank of the Thames, opposite Tilbury. A statue of Pocahontas, who died here in 1617, stands at St George's Church, and the Town Pier is one of the oldest cast-iron piers still standing. Windmill Hill rises above the centre with steep roads. We work on strength, stamina and confidence so daily routes feel manageable.

Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor to support bladder, bowel and core function.

Supporting people living with or recovering from cancer to rebuild strength and quality of life.

Personalised, evidence-based nutrition and dietetic support delivered in the comfort of your home by an HCPC-registered dietitian.
