Physiotherapy Services in Havant
Home Physio And Rehab is based in Harrow, north-west London, and has no clinic or office in Havant. Every appointment is a home visit, and the physiotherapist who visits you may be based elsewhere and travel to your home. Whether we can see you depends on your postcode and on therapist availability at the time you ask.
Havant is an old market town in south-east Hampshire, close to Langstone Harbour and Chichester Harbour. Its centre around the crossroads of East, West, North and South Street is compact and mostly level. Havant borough also includes Leigh Park, one of the largest post-war housing estates in Europe, and Hayling Island to the south.
Homes include older terraces near the centre, large post-war estates in Leigh Park and West Leigh, larger houses in Bedhampton and Denvilles, and many bungalows towards Emsworth and Hayling. We plan our sessions around the stairs, chairs and bathrooms of each home, and the outdoor routes people use.
Staunton Country Park, north of Leigh Park, has gardens and walks, and the Hayling Billy Trail follows a disused railway along the harbour edge with level paths. Langstone, with its mill and quay, is a popular short walk. Havant station has trains to London, Portsmouth and Brighton. Goals often include walking into town or along the Billy Trail.
Many Havant residents are treated at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth. We are independent of the NHS, so please share your discharge summary and any precautions. We then design exercises around your recovery and the routes you want back.
Havant is a market town between Langstone Harbour and Chichester Harbour. Langstone village, with its old mill and pub by the water, is a popular spot for short walks. Staunton Country Park, to the north, has woodland and level paths. Many homes in Leigh Park were built after the war. We set goals such as walking to West Street or along the harbour shore, and build up gradually. The Hayling Billy Trail follows a former railway line south towards Hayling Island, giving long, flat walking beside the harbour.
