Physiotherapy Services in Haverfordwest
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Haverfordwest premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Haverfordwest is the county town of Pembrokeshire, built on a hillside above the Western Cleddau. Its Norman castle ruins and steep medieval streets give the centre a distinctive, layered shape.
High Street climbs steeply from the river towards St Mary's Church. Walking up it is a demanding task after a knee or hip operation, so we start with the flatter Riverside area and Quay Street.
The Riverside shopping area and the old quay offer level paths along the Cleddau. A circuit from the bridge to the riverside cafes is a useful early outdoor goal for many people we see.
Withybush General Hospital lies on the northern edge of town. Hywel Dda University Health Board runs services there, while major joint surgery is often carried out at Glangwili or Prince Philip.
Prendergast and Portfield are older residential areas with terraced houses and steep side streets. Many homes have tight stairs and steps up from the pavement, which we assess on the first visit.
Merlin's Bridge and Johnston, to the south, include newer estates and bungalows. These often have easier layouts, but garden steps and slopes still need attention when planning safe walking.
The County Showground at Withybush hosts the Pembrokeshire County Show each August. Getting back to it, with its long walks across grass, is a popular goal for people with farming connections.
Haverfordwest station is on the line towards Milford Haven and Carmarthen. Practising the platform and train steps helps people regain the confidence to travel for appointments or family visits.
Many people here want to return to sections of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path at Broad Haven or Little Haven. We build hill and uneven-ground work into later sessions with those walks in mind.

Specialist care for women through pregnancy, after birth and beyond.

Reducing the risk of falls and improving safe, confident movement at home and in the community.

Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor to support bladder, bowel and core function.
