Physiotherapy Services in Henley-on-Thames
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Henley-on-Thames premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Henley-on-Thames is a handsome riverside town in South Oxfordshire, best known for Henley Royal Regatta, which fills the reach with rowing crews every summer. The rest of the year it is a quieter place of Georgian fronts, independent shops and old coaching inns.
The five-arched bridge over the Thames links the town with Remenham on the Berkshire bank. Beside it, the Angel on the Bridge and the boathouses give a flavour of how closely life here is tied to the water.
Hart Street, Bell Street and the Market Place hold most of the shops, with the town hall standing at the top of the square. A gentle walk from home to the Thursday market or a favourite café is a very common first goal for our clients.
Townlands Memorial Hospital in the town provides outpatient and community services, while the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading and the John Radcliffe in Oxford handle most surgery and emergency admissions. We often pick up the work once someone comes home from one of them.
Mill Meadows, next to the River and Rowing Museum, is flat and open, with benches looking out over the water. It suits early outdoor practice after a knee or hip operation, before moving on to the longer towpath towards Hambleden Lock.
Away from the river the ground climbs quickly into the Chiltern Hills, and roads like Gravel Hill and Greys Road are steep. For people living up in Badgemore or Harpsden, managing the slope is often part of what we work on together.
Many homes are period cottages with narrow, winding stairs. We look closely at handrails, step heights and lighting so that moving between floors feels safe again.

Personalised, evidence-based nutrition and dietetic support delivered in the comfort of your home by an HCPC-registered dietitian.

Specialist home-based rehabilitation to improve movement, strength, balance and independence for people living with neurological conditions.

Helping older adults maintain mobility, strength and independence safely at home.
