Physiotherapy Services in Kidlington
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Kidlington premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Kidlington lies just north of Oxford and is often described as one of the largest villages in England. It grew quickly in the twentieth century, but the older core around St Mary's Church still has stone cottages and a village green.
The church spire, known locally as Our Lady's Needle, can be seen for miles across the flat land of the Cherwell valley. Many clients tell us the walk up Church Street to see it is something they want to manage again.
Everyday shopping centres on the High Street and the pedestrian precinct off Oxford Road, with supermarkets, a library and cafés close together. Exeter Hall hosts clubs and classes, and returning to a regular group there is a goal for several of our patients.
Oxford's large hospitals are only a short drive away. The John Radcliffe and the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington carry out most operations for local people, and we can continue the rehabilitation privately once you are back at home.
The Oxford Canal runs along the western side of Kidlington, and the towpath at Thrupp, with its moored narrowboats and the Boat Inn, is a favourite level walk. It is a good place to build up stamina once walking indoors feels steady.
London Oxford Airport sits on the northern edge, and the nearby Oxford Parkway railway hub at Water Eaton has quick trains to Oxford and Marylebone. Some clients want to commute or travel again, which means practising platforms and escalators.
Housing ranges from 1930s semis to newer estates around Gosford and Begbroke, so we see everything from tight bungalow bathrooms to three-storey town houses.

Reducing the risk of falls and improving safe, confident movement at home and in the community.

Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor to support bladder, bowel and core function.

Supporting people living with or recovering from cancer to rebuild strength and quality of life.
