We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Kingsteignton premises to walk into. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Kingsteignton is a town in Teignbridge, Devon, at the head of the Teign estuary just north of Newton Abbot. For centuries it was a centre of ball clay extraction, and the white clay dug from local pits was shipped down the Teign to potteries in Staffordshire and abroad.
The Kingsteignton Ram Roasting Fair, held every Whit Monday, is one of Devon's oldest traditions, said to date back to pagan times. A ram is roasted on a spit and shared among residents, alongside processions, stalls and games.
Hackney Marshes Local Nature Reserve, beside the estuary, offers flat paths through wetland and reedbeds with good birdlife. The Templer Way, a heritage walking route following the old granite tramway and canal, passes nearby.
Housing includes old cob and stone cottages, post-war estates and newer developments. Many residents work in Newton Abbot or Exeter, and the town has a large retired population.
NHS Devon Integrated Care Board organises care. Most Kingsteignton patients are treated at Torbay Hospital or the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. We continue rehabilitation at home.
Goals include attending the Ram Roasting Fair, walking at Hackney Marshes or shopping in Newton Abbot again.
Kingsteignton is famous for its Ram Roast, a Whitsun fair whose legend tells of a spring that ran dry until villagers offered a ram. Ball clay dug from the surrounding pits has been shipped worldwide for potteries for generations, and many older residents worked in the quarries. Hackney Marshes local nature reserve beside the Teign estuary gives level paths with birdlife, ideal for building confidence after hip or knee surgery, while St Michael's Church and Fore Street make useful short targets for patients relearning to walk outdoors.

Specialist care for women through pregnancy, after birth and beyond.

Reducing the risk of falls and improving safe, confident movement at home and in the community.

Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor to support bladder, bowel and core function.
