Physiotherapy Services in Llanidloes
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Llanidloes premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Llanidloes is often called the first town on the River Severn, set in the hills of mid Wales. Its four main streets meet at the timber-framed Market Hall, which stands on its own at the crossroads.
The Market Hall has an open ground floor beneath its black-and-white frame. Walking around it and along the four streets makes a good early outdoor circuit.
Paths along the Severn on the edge of town are mostly level, though some sections become muddy. We use them once someone is comfortable on pavements.
Llyn Clywedog, a reservoir in the hills to the north-west, has a dam and lakeside trails. Visiting by car and walking a short section is a popular later goal.
Llanidloes War Memorial Hospital offers community services, while most surgery takes place at Bronglais in Aberystwyth or the Royal Shrewsbury. Home visits continue the progress made there.
Many town houses are older terraces with narrow stairs and small rooms. We look at where you sleep, wash and sit, and plan practice around those daily routines.
Llangurig, the highest village in Wales by some accounts, and Y Fan sit on upland roads. Winters there can be long, so an indoor programme is part of the plan.
Trefeglwys and Tylwch are farming areas with scattered houses and steep lanes. Outdoor work often happens in gardens and yards before moving onto roads.
Llandinam and Dolwen lie down the valley towards Newtown. Many residents travel for shopping, so practising car transfers comes early in the plan.

Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor to support bladder, bowel and core function.

Supporting people living with or recovering from cancer to rebuild strength and quality of life.

Personalised, evidence-based nutrition and dietetic support delivered in the comfort of your home by an HCPC-registered dietitian.
