Physiotherapy Services in Ludgershall
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Ludgershall premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Ludgershall is a small town on the eastern edge of Salisbury Plain, close to the Hampshire border. It has a medieval stone cross on its High Street and the remains of a royal castle.
The castle ruins, looked after by English Heritage, sit on grassy earthworks at the north of the town. Banks and ditches there give useful uneven ground for later balance practice.
The High Street is fairly level, with shops, a pub and the cross at its centre. Short trips along it make a good first outdoor goal.
The town has grown with new housing linked to the nearby army garrisons. Many of these newer homes have level access but compact bathrooms.
Salisbury District Hospital handles most surgery for the area, with some patients treated in Swindon or Basingstoke. We continue rehabilitation at home after discharge.
Older cottages near the centre have steep stairs and low doorways. We assess these early and plan safe ways to move between rooms.
Faberstown and Perham Down are residential areas with many military families. Visits can be timed around deployments and shift patterns where needed.
Collingbourne Ducis and Shoddesden are villages in farmland to the north and east. Quiet lanes there suit steady walking once confidence improves.
Biddesden and the surrounding downland are open and exposed. Walking on chalk tracks is a long-term goal for some people, and we build towards it gradually.
Tidworth, the garrison town just to the west, has larger shops, leisure facilities and a garrison church. Residents of Ludgershall often head there for errands, so we practise the short car journey and the walk from parking to the shop door.

Rehabilitation of bones, joints, muscles and ligaments following injury, surgery or degenerative change.

Support to improve breathing, endurance and recovery for respiratory and cardiac conditions.

Helping people living with persistent or complex pain improve function and quality of life.
