Physiotherapy Services in Menai Bridge
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Menai Bridge premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Menai Bridge, known in Welsh as Porthaethwy, stands on the Anglesey shore of the Menai Strait. It grew up around Thomas Telford's suspension bridge of 1826, which still carries traffic to and from the mainland.
The Belgian Promenade, built by refugees during the First World War, runs along the water below the bridge. Its flat surface and views of the Strait make it our usual first walk outdoors here.
Church Island, reached by a short causeway, holds the little church of St Tysilio and a peaceful graveyard. The path is narrow and slightly uneven, a nice next challenge after the promenade.
The town centre around Water Street and the High Street climbs uphill from the shore. We split that rise into short sections, pausing at shop windows, until the whole climb becomes comfortable.
Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor, just over the Strait, performs most operations for people in this part of Anglesey. When the ward team discharges you, we carry on their programme in your own house.
Homes range from Victorian villas with tall stairways to modern estates on the higher ground. On the first visit we check how you reach the bedroom, bathroom and garden, and plan from there.
Prince's Pier, below the town, is a short level outing with seats and views towards the mountains of Snowdonia. Standing for a while to enjoy it also helps build tolerance in the legs.
Llandegfan sits on the hill to the north east, while Glyn Garth stretches along the shore road towards Beaumaris. Steep roads there make leg strength and confident downhill walking a priority.
Llanfairpwll, Penmynydd and Pentraeth are villages further inland and up the coast. Many residents drive into Menai Bridge for shopping, so we practise car transfers early in the plan.

Rehabilitation of bones, joints, muscles and ligaments following injury, surgery or degenerative change.

Support to improve breathing, endurance and recovery for respiratory and cardiac conditions.

Helping people living with persistent or complex pain improve function and quality of life.
