We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Newhaven premises to walk into. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Newhaven is a port town at the mouth of the River Ouse in East Sussex, best known for its ferry link to Dieppe. The harbour, the breakwater and the lighthouse give the town its maritime character.
Newhaven Fort, built in the Victorian era on the cliffs above the harbour, is now a museum and a local landmark. Castle Hill nature reserve next to it has open grassland with sweeping views along the coast.
The town is built on slopes on both sides of the river, so many streets climb quite steeply from the centre. Older terraces near the High Street and post-war estates at Denton often have steps up to the front door.
Newhaven is covered by NHS Sussex Integrated Care Board, and many residents are treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton or Eastbourne District General. Our private sessions at home can follow on from a hospital stay and support continued recovery.
West Quay and the riverside paths are among the flattest routes in town and a good choice for early outdoor walks. The beach at Tide Mills, to the east, is reached along a track and suits people who are steadier on their feet.
The town centre has a one-way system and busy roads around the swing bridge, so crossing safely is something we may work on. The railway station connects with Lewes and Seaford, and many older people use buses into Brighton.
Denton and South Heighton sit on the eastern hillside, while Piddinghoe lies a little upriver. Gardens on sloping ground are common, and some people want to get back to gardening as part of their recovery.

Safe, structured recovery after surgery to restore strength, mobility and function at home.

Expert assessment and treatment of muscle, joint, bone and soft tissue (MSK) conditions at home.

Helping active people recover from sports injuries and safely return to sport and performance.
