Physiotherapy Services in Pembroke
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Pembroke premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Pembroke is a historic town in south Pembrokeshire, built along a narrow ridge above the Pembroke River. Its castle, the birthplace of Henry VII, dominates the western end.
Main Street runs the length of the ridge from the castle to the east gate. It is long and gently undulating, making it ideal for gradually increasing walking time.
The Mill Pond walk circles the water below the castle and town walls. Its path is mostly level, with benches and views of swans and herons.
Sections of the medieval town walls survive behind the gardens of Main Street. Some paths beside them are uneven, so we choose them only when you are steady.
Patients from Pembroke are usually treated at Withybush General Hospital in Haverfordwest or Glangwili in Carmarthen. We then provide rehabilitation in your home.
Monkton, across the river from the castle, has a priory church and terraced streets. The climb back up from the bridge is a good test of leg strength.
Lamphey, to the east, is known for its ruined Bishop's Palace set in parkland. The grounds have firm grass paths suitable for short walks.
Hundleton and Cosheston are villages on either side of the town, with farmland and creeks of the Milford Haven waterway. Roads there have few footways.
St Twynnells and Castlemartin lie to the south-west near the coast and military ranges. Their exposed roads mean windy conditions affect how long walks feel.

Specialist care for women through pregnancy, after birth and beyond.

Reducing the risk of falls and improving safe, confident movement at home and in the community.

Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor to support bladder, bowel and core function.
