Physiotherapy Services in Rothes
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Rothes premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Rothes is a small town in Moray, set in a glen beside the River Spey. It was laid out as a planned village in the 1760s, and its straight streets still reflect that tidy design.
The town is famous for whisky, with several distilleries including Glen Grant, whose Victorian gardens are open to visitors. Their paths make an attractive and gently graded walk.
On a knoll above the town stands a fragment of Rothes Castle, once a stronghold of the Leslie family. The short climb to it gives a good view along the glen.
The main street runs north to south and is mostly level. That makes it a practical first route when you are ready to start walking outside again after time indoors.
Most hospital care for Moray is provided at Dr Gray's Hospital in Elgin, with specialist surgery in Aberdeen. Our home visits help you continue progress without travelling back for clinics.
Many houses in Rothes are traditional stone homes with stairs and a step at the front door. We build exercises around these features so everyday movement becomes easier.
Craigellachie, a short way south, is known for Thomas Telford's iron bridge over the Spey. The Speyside Way passes through, offering a firm path for longer walks.
Aberlour, beyond Craigellachie, has Alice Littler Park and a level riverside route. Clients there often use the park for regular exercise once their balance improves.
Archiestown sits on the high ground west of the river, a planned village around a square. Its open, quiet streets suit relaxed walks for people who live there.
Elgin and Fochabers lie to the north, with larger shops and services. A trip to one of them is often the final goal before physiotherapy finishes.
