Physiotherapy Services in Ruthin
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Ruthin premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Ruthin is a historic market town in Denbighshire, built on a small hill in the Vale of Clwyd. Its medieval street plan and timber-framed buildings make it one of the most attractive towns in north Wales.
St Peter's Square sits at the top of the town, surrounded by old inns, banks and the church. All the main streets slope away from it, so walks from the square soon involve a hill.
Nantclwyd y Dre, on Castle Street, is thought to be the oldest dated timber-framed town house in Wales. Ruthin Gaol, a Victorian prison now open to visitors, stands nearby.
The ground falls steeply towards the River Clwyd on the west side of town. Building confidence on these slopes is often a key part of rehabilitation for clients living close to the centre.
Glan Clwyd Hospital at Bodelwyddan is the main hospital for the area, and Ruthin also has a community hospital. Home physiotherapy fills the gap after discharge so that your progress does not stall.
Many town houses have narrow stairs, uneven floors and a step at the street door. We adapt exercises to these older interiors so they can be done safely.
Llanfwrog lies across the river on the western side, with its own church and newer houses. The level road beside the river is a sensible place to start outdoor walking.
Llanbedr Dyffryn Clwyd sits beneath the Clwydian Range to the east, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Hill paths there are a long-term target for keen walkers.
Rhewl and Llanrhydd are small villages in the farmland of the vale, with quiet roads and few pavements. Garden and driveway work usually comes before longer outings.
Pwllglas and Graigfechan lie south of the town towards the hills, where homes are spread out. For clients there, safe movement indoors is the first priority.

Expert assessment and treatment of muscle, joint, bone and soft tissue (MSK) conditions at home.

Helping active people recover from sports injuries and safely return to sport and performance.

Rehabilitation of bones, joints, muscles and ligaments following injury, surgery or degenerative change.
