Whether we can see you depends on your postcode and on therapist availability at the time you ask.
Salisbury is a cathedral city in south Wiltshire, set where several rivers, including the Avon, meet. Salisbury Cathedral, with Britain's tallest spire, stands in a large, peaceful close. The city centre was laid out in a grid of streets around the Market Place and is mostly flat, which helps when rebuilding walking.
Homes include historic townhouses and terraces in the centre and Fisherton, inter-war and post-war estates at Bemerton Heath, larger houses in Harnham and Milford, and newer developments at Old Sarum and Bishopdown. Many older people live in bungalows or retirement flats. Our sessions concentrate on the layout and stairs of your home.
The Cathedral Close and the Harnham water meadows have level paths with views of the spire, and Queen Elizabeth Gardens is close to the centre. Old Sarum, the earlier hilltop settlement, offers a more challenging goal. Salisbury station has trains to London, Bristol and Southampton. Goals often include walking to the market or the close.
Salisbury District Hospital provides acute care for the city and surrounding area. We are independent of it and of the NHS, so please share your discharge summary and any precautions. We then design exercises around your recovery and the walks you want back.
Salisbury Cathedral, with the tallest spire in Britain, stands in the walled Cathedral Close, where the lawns and paths are level and peaceful. The Market Place hosts a twice-weekly market, and the Town Path across the water meadows leads to Harnham. Old Sarum, the earlier hill fort settlement, rises to the north. We build towards goals like walking the Town Path or visiting the market.
