We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Sherborne premises to walk into. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Sherborne is a historic market town in north-west Dorset, built of golden Ham stone. Its abbey, with spectacular fan vaulting, has been the heart of the town since Saxon times.
Cheap Street, the main shopping street, slopes down from the abbey towards the station. Lined with independent shops and old buildings, it is a pleasant but sometimes challenging walk for people with limited mobility.
Sherborne has two castles. The Old Castle is a ruin, while Sherborne Castle, built by Sir Walter Raleigh, sits in parkland with a lake designed by Capability Brown. The grounds offer gentle walks.
Sherborne is covered by NHS Dorset Integrated Care Board. Most hospital care is at Yeovil District Hospital just over the border in Somerset, and our private visits can continue rehabilitation at home.
The town is home to several well-known schools, and many homes are old stone houses with narrow stairs. Newer estates on the edges of town have more modern layouts.
The Pageant Gardens, near the station, are flat and well kept, a good place for early outdoor practice. The station on the West of England line offers trains to London and Exeter.
Milborne Port and Bradford Abbas are nearby villages with rural lanes. Getting in and out of the car and walking safely on uneven ground are often part of the plan.
Sherborne's almshouse of St John, founded in 1437, still houses elderly residents beside the abbey close, and the Digby Hall and the Swan Yard shops are regular haunts for many older locals we see.

Support to improve breathing, endurance and recovery for respiratory and cardiac conditions.

Helping people living with persistent or complex pain improve function and quality of life.

Specialist care for women through pregnancy, after birth and beyond.
