Physiotherapy Services in St Just
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no St Just premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
St Just, often called St Just in Penwith, is the most westerly town in mainland Britain. It lies near Land's End, on a granite plateau above dramatic cliffs and old tin mines.
The town grew rapidly in the nineteenth century as a home for miners working the cliff-top mines. Their granite terraces still line the streets around Market Square.
The Plain-an-Gwarry, a grassy open-air amphitheatre, was once used for medieval miracle plays. Its level grass is a peaceful place for a short walk close to the centre.
Market Square and the streets around it are fairly flat, with shops, galleries and pubs. They provide a sensible starting route for outdoor walking.
Local care is provided at West Cornwall Hospital in Penzance, while most surgery takes place at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro. Home visits continue your rehabilitation after discharge.
Many homes are granite cottages with thick walls, small rooms and steep stairs. We design exercises that fit into these compact interiors.
Cape Cornwall, just west of the town, is a rocky headland topped by an old mine chimney. The lane down to it is steep, making it a demanding target.
Botallack and Trewellard lie to the north, with mine engine houses perched on the cliffs. The coast path there is rough and uneven.
Pendeen is home to Geevor Tin Mine, now a museum, and a lighthouse on the cliffs. Its main road has pavements that suit steady walking.
Kenidjack is a small valley settlement south of Botallack, and Sennen lies further south near Land's End. Homes in these areas are often spread out.

Safe, structured recovery after surgery to restore strength, mobility and function at home.

Expert assessment and treatment of muscle, joint, bone and soft tissue (MSK) conditions at home.

Helping active people recover from sports injuries and safely return to sport and performance.
