Physiotherapy Services in Stratford-upon-Avon
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Stratford-upon-Avon premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Stratford-upon-Avon is the Warwickshire market town where William Shakespeare was born, on Henley Street, and where he is buried in Holy Trinity Church. The Royal Shakespeare Theatre stands beside the River Avon, and Anne Hathaway’s Cottage lies in nearby Shottery. Tourists fill the centre for much of the year, and the town’s Tudor buildings line many streets.
Homes range from timber-framed cottages and Georgian townhouses in the centre to Victorian terraces in Old Town and large modern estates in Bishopton and Tiddington. Older properties often have uneven floors, low beams and steep stairs, while newer homes are usually easier to adapt after surgery.
Bancroft Gardens and the riverside walk beside the theatre are flat and busy, and the Stratford Greenway, on the old railway line towards Long Marston, offers a quieter, level route. Stratford station has trains to Birmingham and London Marylebone, and buses link the town with Warwick and Leamington.
Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board plans NHS services, and Stratford Hospital offers some outpatient and community care, with major operations usually at Warwick or Coventry. Our private home visits can continue whatever rehabilitation was started there.
Many residents want to get back to the theatre, riverside walks or the shops on Bridge Street. We use those goals to plan sessions, starting with stairs and transfers at home and building up to walking in town.
