Physiotherapy Services in Thrapston
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Thrapston premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Thrapston is a compact market town on the River Nene in North Northamptonshire, where the A14 meets the A605. Its nine arched medieval bridge connects it with the stone village of Islip.
St James' Church contains a carved stone bearing the stars and stripes of the Washington family arms. Sir John Washington, an ancestor of the first American president, lived in the town.
The High Street runs gently uphill from the bridge, with a bakery, pharmacy, cafés and a small supermarket. A Tuesday market brings stalls to the town centre.
Kettering General Hospital carries out most surgery for Thrapston residents, while some orthopaedic work happens at Northampton General or Peterborough City Hospital. After discharge, we visit people in their own homes.
Thrapston Lakes, a series of flooded gravel pits beside the river, are now part of the Nene Valley nature reserves, with grebes, herons and level walking routes around the water.
Titchmarsh has a fine church tower and a nature reserve with an old heronry, while Aldwincle was the birthplace of the poet John Dryden. Denford and Woodford line the river to the south.
Older stone cottages in these villages tend to have steep stairs and low doorways, and newer estates on the edge of Thrapston have more space. We tailor each plan to the property.
The town has no railway station, and bus links are limited, so treatment at home saves a long journey for many people in the early weeks of recovery.

Helping people living with persistent or complex pain improve function and quality of life.

Specialist care for women through pregnancy, after birth and beyond.

Reducing the risk of falls and improving safe, confident movement at home and in the community.
