Physiotherapy Services in Tillicoultry
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Tillicoultry premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Tillicoultry is a small town in Clackmannanshire, one of the Hillfoots villages at the base of the Ochil Hills. The steep hills rise directly behind the houses.
The town grew as a centre for woollen mills, powered by the burns that tumble down from the Ochils. Some mill buildings now house shops and an outlet centre.
Mill Glen, behind the town, has a path that climbs beside waterfalls into the hills. The lower section is fairly gentle, while higher parts are steep.
The High Street runs along the foot of the hills, with shops and cafes on mostly level ground. It is a practical route for early outdoor walks.
Most hospital care for Clackmannanshire is provided at Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert. Our physiotherapists can treat you at home after discharge.
The Devon Way, a path along an old railway line, follows the River Devon through the Hillfoots. Its smooth, level surface is excellent for building stamina.
Local housing is mostly stone terraces alongside newer houses with stairs. We plan exercises to suit the layout of each home.
Coalsnaughton and Devonside lie to the south across the river. Their streets are fairly level and good for short walks.
Alva and Menstrie lie to the west along the Hillfoots, and Dollar lies to the east with its academy and glen.
Castle Campbell, a fifteenth-century tower perched above Dollar Glen, is reached by steep wooded paths. Back in Tillicoultry, the old Paton's woollen mill still stands near the burn that once drove its looms.
Fishcross is a small village to the south-west. Clients there often start with practice around the house and garden.

Safe, structured recovery after surgery to restore strength, mobility and function at home.

Expert assessment and treatment of muscle, joint, bone and soft tissue (MSK) conditions at home.

Helping active people recover from sports injuries and safely return to sport and performance.
