Physiotherapy Services in Watlington
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Watlington premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Watlington is one of the smallest towns in Oxfordshire, sitting at the foot of the Chiltern escarpment. Wooded hills rise steeply to the east, while flat farmland stretches west.
The brick Town Hall, built in 1665, stands on open arches at the centre of the town. The space beneath it was once used for the market.
Couching Street, High Street and Shirburn Street form the old centre, lined with brick and flint houses. They are mostly level, which suits walking practice.
The Watlington White Mark, a tall triangle cut into the chalk of the hill in 1764, can be seen from the town. It was created so the church appeared to have a spire from a local manor.
Watlington Hill, owned by the National Trust, offers wide views over the Oxfordshire plain. The climb is steep and suited only to the later stages of recovery.
Planned operations for this area usually take place at the John Radcliffe or Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford. Our therapists continue your recovery with home visits.
The Ridgeway and the Icknield Way run along the foot of the hills nearby. Some flatter sections give a good goal for building stamina.
Homes include old cottages with low ceilings and steep stairs, along with newer houses on the edges of town. We adapt exercises to each home.
Pyrton, north-west of the town, has a manor house and a church. Shirburn has a moated castle set in private grounds.
Christmas Common sits high on the Chiltern ridge among beech woods. Cuxham, Britwell Salome and Northend are small villages tucked against the hills.
Many clients here are active walkers who want to return to the hills. We build strength and balance steadily to make that possible.

Expert assessment and treatment of muscle, joint, bone and soft tissue (MSK) conditions at home.

Helping active people recover from sports injuries and safely return to sport and performance.

Rehabilitation of bones, joints, muscles and ligaments following injury, surgery or degenerative change.
