Physiotherapy Services in Welshpool
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Welshpool premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Welshpool, known in Welsh as Y Trallwng, is a market town in Powys close to the English border. It lies in the Severn valley beneath wooded hills.
Powis Castle, a medieval fortress of red stone, stands on a ridge just south of the town. Its terraced gardens are among the finest in Britain and are cared for by the National Trust.
The Montgomery Canal passes through the town, with a restored wharf and a small museum. The towpath is flat and smooth, which makes it ideal for walking practice.
Broad Street and High Street form the main shopping area, lined with timber-framed and Georgian buildings. They slope gently and are busy on market days.
The Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway, a narrow-gauge steam line, runs from Raven Square up into the hills. Riding it again is a goal for many clients.
The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital carries out much of the planned surgery for this area. Our physiotherapists then visit you at home so you avoid the journey back for each session.
Welshpool has one of the largest livestock markets in Wales, and farming shapes local life. Many clients need to return to physical work around the farm.
Old town houses with steep stairs sit alongside newer estates on the edges of town. We tailor every exercise plan to your home.
Guilsfield, to the north, is a village with a large church and a green. Buttington lies across the Severn, with Trewern further east.
Leighton, on the hillside opposite, is known for its Victorian model farm and redwood grove. Castle Caereinion and Berriew are villages to the west and south.
Our team can work with Welsh-speaking families and keeps exercise plans clear and practical. We focus on what each client needs to do every day.

Helping older adults maintain mobility, strength and independence safely at home.

Safe, structured recovery after surgery to restore strength, mobility and function at home.
