Physiotherapy Services in Altrincham
Home Physio And Rehab is based in Harrow, north-west London, and has no clinic or office in Altrincham. Every appointment is a home visit, and the physiotherapist who visits you may be based elsewhere and travel to your home. Whether we can see you depends on your postcode and on therapist availability at the time you ask.
Altrincham is a market town in Trafford, south-west of Manchester, with a revived market hall and a pedestrianised centre around George Street. Bowdon, on the hill above, has large Victorian villas, while Hale and Timperley have their own village centres. The town centre is fairly level, but Bowdon involves steeper roads.
Homes include Victorian villas and terraces in Bowdon and near the centre, many with tall staircases, inter-war semis in Timperley and Hale, and newer apartments near the interchange. Broadheath has more modern housing near the retail park. We plan our sessions around the stairs and layout of each home.
The Bridgewater Canal runs through Broadheath and Timperley with a level towpath, and Stamford Park and John Leigh Park offer green space with paths. Altrincham Interchange has Metrolink trams and trains to Manchester. Dunham Massey, a National Trust deer park, lies just to the west. Goals often include walking to the market or Dunham.
Many residents are treated at Wythenshawe Hospital or Trafford General Hospital. We are independent of the NHS, so please share your discharge summary and any precautions. We then design exercises around your recovery and the routes you want back.
Altrincham Market House, revived as a food hall, is a popular meeting place. The Bridgewater Canal passes through Broadheath, and Stamford Park and John Leigh Park have level paths. The Metrolink tram connects the town with Manchester. Many clients want to get to the market or ride the tram again, so we break those journeys into stages.
