Physiotherapy Services in Hale
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Hale premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Hale is a leafy village-style suburb in Trafford, just south of Altrincham, with large detached houses set among mature trees. Its Victorian growth came after the line opened in the 1860s, and the station with its level crossing is still at the heart of the village.
Ashley Road is lined with independent shops, restaurants and cafes, and many residents enjoy strolling along it. A walk from home to a favourite cafe and back is a satisfying target for people regaining confidence after illness.
Homes here are often large, with grand staircases, several floors and long gardens. Big houses can bring their own difficulties, such as bathrooms upstairs or bedrooms at the top of steep stairs, which we plan around from the first visit.
Hale is part of NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care Board, and many patients go to Wythenshawe Hospital while others attend Trafford General. Our private visits can follow on from either and keep progress going once someone is home.
Stamford Park, on the Hale side of Altrincham, has level paths, a lake and plenty of benches. Further south, the Bollin valley around Ashley offers rural walks for anyone ready for a longer outing.
Hale Barns, with its own shops and wide residential roads, sits to the south-east towards Manchester Airport. Some homes there are on private roads without pavements, so we practise walking safely on uneven verges and gravel drives.
Bowdon, on the hill to the west, has steep roads near the church of St Mary. Even short trips can involve slopes, so leg strength and pacing are often part of the plan.

Helping people living with persistent or complex pain improve function and quality of life.

Specialist care for women through pregnancy, after birth and beyond.

Reducing the risk of falls and improving safe, confident movement at home and in the community.
