Physiotherapy Services in Alyth
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Alyth premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Alyth is a small town on the edge of Strathmore in Perth and Kinross, close to the boundary with Angus. The Alyth Burn runs through the middle of the town, crossed by several old bridges that give the centre its character.
The Hill of Alyth rises behind the town, with paths up to the summit and wide views across the valley. It is a common long-term goal, and we build towards it gradually, starting on the flatter streets near the burn.
The Alyth Museum and the Pictish stone at the parish church are local points of interest, and the golf course to the east is popular. Walking around the town centre is usually the first outdoor target we set.
Alyth is within NHS Tayside. Surgery and emergency care are usually at Ninewells in Dundee or Perth Royal Infirmary, and private home physiotherapy can continue once someone has been discharged.
Many homes are traditional stone houses with steep stairs and steps at the front door, while others are bungalows on newer streets. We tailor exercises to the layout of each home.
Rural roads towards Glenisla can be narrow and icy in winter, so we plan indoor exercise routines that keep strength and balance improving through the colder months.
Meigle, a short drive away, has a well-known museum of Pictish stones, and visiting it is sometimes a goal for people regaining confidence.

Specialist home-based rehabilitation to improve movement, strength, balance and independence for people living with neurological conditions.

Helping older adults maintain mobility, strength and independence safely at home.

Safe, structured recovery after surgery to restore strength, mobility and function at home.
