Physiotherapy Services in Bedworth
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Bedworth premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Bedworth is a market town in north Warwickshire, between Nuneaton and Coventry, in the borough of Nuneaton and Bedworth. It grew on coal mining, ribbon weaving and hat-making, and the Newdegate family, who owned the local pits, left a strong mark. The almshouses on the Market Place, built in the nineteenth century, are one of the town's best-known buildings.
The pedestrianised town centre around All Saints Square and the Market Place hosts regular markets and the Bedworth Civic Hall. Miners' Welfare Park, with its bandstand and flower beds, is a pleasant, level place for early walks, and the Coventry Canal passes along the edge of town with a flat towpath.
Housing is largely terraced and semi-detached homes built for mining families, along with post-war estates at Goodyers End and Coalpit Field. Many of our patients are older residents with a lifetime connection to the town, often living in houses with steep stairs and narrow halls.
Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board plans NHS services. Bedworth patients are most often treated at George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton or University Hospital Coventry. Our private home physiotherapy builds on that treatment once people are home.
Bedworth station sits on the line between Nuneaton and Coventry, and buses run frequently to both. People commonly want to walk to the market, sit by the bandstand again or get the bus to see family in Coventry.
Huguenot ribbon weavers settled here centuries ago, and later the Newdigate and Exhall pits shaped family life for generations. The Nicholas Chamberlaine almshouses, with their Tudor-style gables facing All Saints Square, remain one of the handsomest buildings in the borough. Miners' Welfare Park has a bandstand, flat tarmac loops and benches spaced closely enough for short rests, and the Coventry Canal towpath towards Hawkesbury Junction gives a longer, traffic-free stretch once someone feels steadier on uneven gravel.
