Physiotherapy Services in Bletchley
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Bletchley premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Bletchley is a town in the south of Milton Keynes, older than the new city around it. It is best known for Bletchley Park, where codebreakers worked during the Second World War, and The National Museum of Computing on the same site. The main shopping street, Queensway, is level and pedestrian-friendly, and it is a common first destination once people feel steadier outside.
Unlike the grid squares of central Milton Keynes, Bletchley grew around the railway and the old Watling Street. Fenny Stratford and Old Bletchley have Victorian and Edwardian terraces, while Far Bletchley, West Bletchley and Water Eaton include large post-war estates, many built when London families moved out in the 1950s and 1960s. Terraces often have narrow stairs and a step at the door.
The Grand Union Canal at Fenny Stratford has a lock and level towpath, and Teardrop Lakes and Blue Lagoon Local Nature Reserve offer longer, quieter walks. Bletchley station is on the West Coast Main Line, with trains to London and Birmingham, and is also on the Marston Vale line towards Bedford. We practise the walking, steps and stations that people use day to day.
Milton Keynes University Hospital provides acute and emergency care for the area. NHS services are planned by the Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Integrated Care Board. Our home visits are private and independent, so bring any discharge information or exercise sheets to the first visit and we will continue from there, coordinating with community services if you are already receiving them.
