Physiotherapy Services in Boston
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Boston premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Boston is a market town in south Lincolnshire, on the River Witham close to the Wash. St Botolph's Church, known locally as the Boston Stump, has one of the tallest medieval towers in England and dominates the flat Fenland landscape all around. The Pilgrim Fathers were briefly imprisoned in the town's Guildhall in 1607.
The town centre has Georgian and Victorian houses and narrow lanes leading off the market place, while Skirbeck, Fenside and Witham include post-war estates and terraces. Newer housing has spread out towards Wyberton and Fishtoft, and the surrounding villages have many bungalows and farmhouses.
Because the land is so flat, walking practice here rarely involves hills, which suits many people early in recovery. The riverside paths along the Witham and the grounds of Central Park offer level routes with benches, and the sea bank paths near Fishtoft give longer, open walks across the marshes.
Pilgrim Hospital, run by United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust, is where most Boston residents are treated after a stroke, fracture or operation. NHS services are planned by the Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board. Our home physiotherapy is private and separate from the NHS, so please share your discharge information with us.
Boston station has trains to Grantham and Skegness, and buses link the town with the surrounding villages. Many people here want to get back to the Wednesday and Saturday markets, or to manage the uneven paving and kerbs around the centre with confidence.
