Bradford on Avon is a small Wiltshire town on the River Avon, a few miles south-east of Bath. Its honey-coloured stone buildings climb steeply up the north side of the valley, giving the town a picturesque, terraced look.
The Town Bridge, with its little domed lock-up that was once a chapel, crosses the river at the heart of town. The Saxon church of St Laurence, rediscovered in the nineteenth century, is one of the most complete of its age in England.
The great medieval tithe barn at Barton Farm, beside the river, is one of the largest in the country. Barton Farm Country Park around it has flat riverside paths that suit early outdoor walks.
Bradford on Avon is part of NHS BSW Integrated Care Board, and most hospital care is at the Royal United Hospital in Bath. Our private visits can take up rehabilitation once someone is home.
The weavers' cottages on Tory and Newtown cling to the hillside, reached by steep lanes and steps. For people living up there, getting down into town and back is a major goal.
The Kennet and Avon Canal passes the town, with a wharf and lock. Its towpath towards Avoncliff is flat and is a favourite walk for residents.
Winsley, on the hill above, and Holt, to the east, are villages with rural lanes. Getting in and out of cars and managing gravel drives often feature in our sessions.

Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor to support bladder, bowel and core function.

Supporting people living with or recovering from cancer to rebuild strength and quality of life.

Personalised, evidence-based nutrition and dietetic support delivered in the comfort of your home by an HCPC-registered dietitian.
