Physiotherapy Services in Holt
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Holt premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Holt is a Georgian market town set just inland from the north Norfolk coast. After a fire destroyed much of it in 1708, it was rebuilt in brick and flint, and its yards and lanes still reflect that rebuild.
The High Street and Market Place are busy with independent shops and cafes. Uneven pavements, steps into older shops and summer crowds make the centre a good real-world test once early walking is secure.
Holt Country Park, just south of the town, has woodland trails and a visitor centre. Its main tracks are firm in dry weather and give a pleasant goal for people building up their walking range.
The North Norfolk Railway, known as the Poppy Line, runs heritage steam trains from Holt to Sheringham. Climbing into vintage carriages is a fun and practical target for many patients.
Gresham's School is a major presence in the town, and some families we see are linked to it. Housing ranges from period townhouses with steep stairs to modern estates and bungalows on the outskirts.
Most planned surgery for the area takes place at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, with some care at Cromer and District Hospital. We continue rehabilitation once you are back in Holt.
Spout Hills, a small open space below the town, has sloping grassland and paths. It makes a useful step up from flat walks once people are ready to work on gentle gradients.
High Kelling, to the east, has many bungalows set among pine woods. Gravel drives and sloping gardens are common there, and we often practise getting safely to the car and back.
Letheringsett and Glandford lie along the River Glaven, with its working watermill. Riverside paths there are soft and uneven, suited to later-stage balance practice on mixed ground.

Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor to support bladder, bowel and core function.

Supporting people living with or recovering from cancer to rebuild strength and quality of life.

Personalised, evidence-based nutrition and dietetic support delivered in the comfort of your home by an HCPC-registered dietitian.
