Physiotherapy Services in Brentwood
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Brentwood premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Brentwood is a commuter town in south-west Essex, on the old road from London to Colchester. Its High Street, with the ruins of the Thomas Becket chapel at one end, is busy with shops, restaurants and cafés. The town sits on a ridge, so roads such as Kings Road leading down to the station involve noticeable slopes.
Brentwood and Shenfield stations are both on the Elizabeth line, which gives step-free routes into London, and Shenfield also has trains towards Chelmsford and Southend. Many people want to manage those journeys again for family visits or hospital appointments. We practise the walk to the station, the lifts or stairs and stepping on and off the train.
Housing includes large Victorian and Edwardian houses near the centre, interwar and post-war semis in Warley, Hutton and Pilgrims Hatch, and newer flats near the stations. Brentwood has an older population than much of Essex, and many people we see live in bungalows or retirement flats. Weald Country Park and Thorndon Country Park have woodland and lakeside walks, and King George's Playing Fields offers level paths closer to the centre.
Brentwood Community Hospital provides outpatient and community services, and most surgery and emergency care is at Basildon University Hospital or Queen's Hospital in Romford, depending on where you live. NHS services are planned by the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board. We are an independent home-visit service, so share any discharge letters and we will work alongside your NHS care.
