Physiotherapy Services in Broughty Ferry
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Broughty Ferry premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Broughty Ferry is a former fishing village on the north bank of the Tay, now part of the city of Dundee but with its own distinct character. It grew in the nineteenth century as a home for wealthy jute merchants, and Broughty Castle, overlooking the harbour, is its best-known landmark.
Large Victorian villas and terraces sit on the slopes above the shore, many divided into flats, while Barnhill and Balgillo to the east have bungalows and family homes. Brook Street and Gray Street are the main shopping streets. Many older residents live here, and the steep side streets running up from the shore can be a challenge after illness.
The esplanade and beach between the castle and Barnhill are level and open, with benches along the way, which makes them a common first outdoor target. Dawson Park and Reres Hill offer gentle slopes and woodland, and the path along the Tay towards Monifieth gives a longer route.
Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, run by NHS Tayside, is where most Broughty Ferry residents have surgery or emergency care, and the Royal Victoria Hospital provides some inpatient rehabilitation. Community services are arranged through the Dundee Health and Social Care Partnership. We are independent of these services and are happy to follow on from your hospital advice.

Personalised, evidence-based nutrition and dietetic support delivered in the comfort of your home by an HCPC-registered dietitian.
