Physiotherapy Services in Cheadle
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Cheadle premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Cheadle is a small market town in the Staffordshire Moorlands, set on a ridge between the Potteries and the Churnet Valley. It grew on coal mining, copper and brass working and textile mills, and it still serves a wide ring of surrounding villages.
St Giles' Catholic Church, designed by Augustus Pugin and completed in 1846, is often called Pugin's Gem. Its slender spire, around two hundred feet tall, is visible for miles and its painted interior draws visitors from across the country.
Hawksmoor Nature Reserve, managed by the National Trust, covers wooded slopes above the Churnet north-east of the town. The Churnet Valley Railway and the village of Oakamoor lie nearby, and Alton Towers is a short drive away.
Housing includes stone and brick cottages near the High Street, Victorian terraces, inter-war council homes and modern estates on the edges. Many roads climb steeply from the centre, and bungalows are popular with older residents.
NHS Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board commissions services. Cheadle patients are usually treated at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, and we continue their rehabilitation privately at home once they have been discharged.
Buses link Cheadle with Stoke-on-Trent, Longton and Uttoxeter, and Blythe Bridge station is the nearest railway stop. Typical aims include walking along the High Street, to St Giles' or out to the Hawksmoor paths.
The High Street is fairly level through the middle, with benches and shops close together, so it suits early outdoor walks with frequent rests.
Hawksmoor's woodland tracks are steep in places and uneven underfoot, so we plan them for later, once balance and slopes have been practised.

Personalised, evidence-based nutrition and dietetic support delivered in the comfort of your home by an HCPC-registered dietitian.

Specialist home-based rehabilitation to improve movement, strength, balance and independence for people living with neurological conditions.

Helping older adults maintain mobility, strength and independence safely at home.
