Physiotherapy Services in Colwyn Bay
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Colwyn Bay premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Colwyn Bay is a Victorian seaside town on the North Wales coast, between Llandudno and Abergele. Its long sandy bay and promenade attract walkers in every season.
The promenade stays level all the way between Old Colwyn and Rhos-on-Sea, with benches and shelters along the way. It is one of the best places on this coast for building walking stamina.
Eirias Park has level paths, gardens and a leisure centre. A loop of the park suits early outdoor sessions.
The Welsh Mountain Zoo sits on the hill above the town, and its paths are steep. It is a later goal for many people.
Colwyn Bay is covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. Most surgery takes place at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan, while some orthopaedic operations are done at Llandudno Hospital.
Homes include large Victorian houses on the hill, flats near the seafront and bungalows in Rhos-on-Sea. Hilly streets and steep steps are common, so we practise on yours.
Sea winds can be strong, so every plan has an indoor alternative.
Porth Eirias, the modern watersports centre on the seafront, has a restaurant and a gentle ramp to the beach, a practical target for those who want to enjoy the sea views again. Rhos-on-Sea has a small harbour and the tiny chapel of St Trillo, said to be one of the smallest in Britain. The Colwyn Bay pier, partly lost to storms, still draws attention along the bay. Bryn Euryn, a wooded hill with a nature reserve between Rhos and Mochdre, has steeper paths with fine views, good for later stages. Trains on the North Wales coast line stop at Colwyn Bay station near the town centre, so practising stairs and platform steps can help with longer trips to Chester or Bangor. Station Road and Abergele Road hold most of the shops.
