We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Coseley premises to walk into. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Coseley is a Black Country town in the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley, on the border with Wolverhampton. It grew on coal mining and ironworking, and the Birmingham Canal Navigations pass through, including the Coseley Tunnel, which carries the canal under the town. Coseley also produced many skilled workers for the region's engineering industries.
Roseville, the main shopping area, has a small row of shops and a market. The canal towpath gives a flat, peaceful walking route, and the green spaces around Hurst Hill and the Coseley School playing fields are good places for gentle exercise. Many streets in Hurst Hill and Daisy Bank, though, have noticeable slopes.
Housing is largely post-war council estates, inter-war semis and older terraces, with some newer homes on former industrial land. Many patients are older residents who have lived here all their lives, often with family nearby who are keen to help.
Black Country Integrated Care Board plans NHS care, and Coseley patients are typically treated at Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley or New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton. Our private home physiotherapy continues their rehabilitation.
Coseley station has trains to Birmingham and Wolverhampton, and buses run along the main roads. Patients often want to walk to Roseville, follow the canal or catch the train.
Coseley's Christ Church, a striking Victorian building on Church Road, and the old Darkhouse Baptist Chapel are landmarks for longstanding residents. The Wren's Nest National Nature Reserve, famous for its fossils, lies a short bus ride away in Dudley and is a popular later goal. Many people here remember the Bean car factory and Cannon Industries, which made gas cookers, and family links across Bilston, Sedgley and Tipton are strong. The Ladymoor Pool and the old Bradley Locks branch of the canal are quieter green spaces close to the estates, with mostly level ground.
