Physiotherapy Services in Dursley
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Dursley premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Dursley is a small market town in the Stroud district of Gloucestershire, tucked beneath the steep western edge of the Cotswolds. It grew around wool and later engineering, with the Lister works making engines that were sold across the world.
The Market House, built in 1738 and topped by a statue of Queen Anne, stands at the centre where Parsonage Street, Long Street and Silver Street meet. Most shops and cafés are a short walk from it.
St James' Church, beside the Market House, has a tall tower and is a well-known landmark. Getting back to Sunday services there is a goal for several of our older clients.
The Vale Community Hospital in Dursley provides local services, while Gloucestershire Royal and Cheltenham General handle most surgery. Our private visits at home can continue the work once you are discharged.
Dursley is built on a slope, and roads up towards Stinchcombe Hill and Woodmancote are steep. We often work on hills, kerbs and steps as part of the plan.
The Cotswold Way passes through the town, and Stinchcombe Hill offers wide views across the Severn Vale. For people with strong recovery goals, getting back up there, perhaps for a round on the hilltop golf course, is something to aim for.
The neighbouring village of Cam has the railway halt, with trains on the main line to Bristol and Gloucester, while Uley sits below the Iron Age hillfort of Uley Bury and the long barrow known as Hetty Pegler's Tump.

Reducing the risk of falls and improving safe, confident movement at home and in the community.

Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor to support bladder, bowel and core function.

Supporting people living with or recovering from cancer to rebuild strength and quality of life.
