Physiotherapy Services in Falmouth
Home Physio And Rehab is based in Harrow, north-west London, and has no clinic or office in Falmouth. Every appointment is a home visit, and the physiotherapist who visits you may be based elsewhere and travel to your home. Whether we can see you depends on your postcode and on therapist availability at the time you ask.
Falmouth has one of the largest natural harbours in the world, with Pendennis Castle on the headland and the main street running along the waterfront. The town is hilly: streets climb steeply from the harbour, and Jacob's Ladder, a flight of more than a hundred steps, is a well-known example. Many homes in the older parts of town have steps up from the road or narrow, steep internal staircases.
Beyond the centre, Boslowick, Trescobeas and Budock Water have post-war and modern housing, and Penryn, next door, has a large student population linked to the university campus. Older residents may live in terraces near the docks or in bungalows towards Swanpool. Our work is shaped by these homes, from managing narrow stairs to getting in and out of a low armchair.
The seafront between Gyllyngvase Beach and Swanpool is a popular walk with fairly gentle gradients, and Kimberley Park offers a green space close to the centre. Falmouth also has a branch railway to Truro with stations at Penmere, Falmouth Town and Falmouth Docks. Goals often include walking to the high street, managing the train or reaching the beach again.
Most hospital care for Falmouth is at Truro, and many people return home after joint surgery or a fracture needing more help than they expected. Our physiotherapists are independent of the NHS, so please share your discharge summary and any precautions. We then plan exercises and practice around your home, your steps and the routes you want back.

Support to improve breathing, endurance and recovery for respiratory and cardiac conditions.

Helping people living with persistent or complex pain improve function and quality of life.

Specialist care for women through pregnancy, after birth and beyond.
