Physiotherapy Services in Farnborough
Home Physio And Rehab is based in Harrow, north-west London, and has no clinic or office in Farnborough. Every appointment is a home visit, and the physiotherapist who visits you may be based elsewhere and travel to your home. Whether we can see you depends on your postcode and on therapist availability at the time you ask.
Farnborough is a town in north-east Hampshire, known as the birthplace of British aviation and for its international airshow. The former Royal Aircraft Establishment site is now a business park, with the FAST museum telling its history. The town centre around Kingsmead and Queensmead has been redeveloped and is mostly level.
Homes include Victorian and Edwardian houses near the town centre and North Camp, post-war estates at Cove and Fernhill, and newer developments at Southwood and on the edges of town. Many households include older relatives. We design our sessions around the stairs, chairs and rooms of each home.
Southwood Country Park has level paths and open green space, and the Basingstoke Canal passes to the south with a flat towpath. St Michael's Abbey, burial place of Napoleon III, stands on the hill near the main station. Farnborough has two stations with trains to London. Goals often include walking into town or managing the train.
Frimley Park Hospital, close to Farnborough, provides acute care for the area. We are independent of it and of the NHS, so please share your discharge summary and any precautions. We then build exercises around your recovery and home.
Farnborough is known for its International Airshow and a long history of aviation research, told at the Air Sciences Trust Museum. Queen Elizabeth Park and Southwood Country Park have woodland paths, and the Basingstoke Canal passes nearby. St Michael's Abbey, where Napoleon III is buried, stands on a hill above the town. Homes include post-war estates in Cove and newer houses at Southwood. We plan goals such as walking to the shops or the canal and build up gradually. Farnborough Gate and the Meads shopping area are close together, and Rushmoor Arena hosts events near the Aldershot boundary.
