Physiotherapy Services in Frodsham
We run the service from Harrow in north-west London; there is no Frodsham premises to walk into. Sessions take place in your own home, and the clinician assigned to you may be travelling in from elsewhere. We can only confirm a visit once we know your full postcode and which therapists are free when you get in touch.
Frodsham is a market town in Cheshire West and Chester, set below a sandstone ridge looking over the Mersey estuary. Its wide Main Street is lined with Georgian and Victorian buildings, independent shops and cafés, with a market every Thursday.
Frodsham Hill and Overton Hill rise above the town, with the war memorial and wide views across the estuary. The Sandstone Trail, a footpath that runs south across Cheshire, begins here, though its steep, rocky sections are only for later in recovery.
Castle Park, with its gardens, lawns and woodland paths, sits close to the town centre. Its firmer paths are good for building stamina after an operation, while some of the woodland routes are steeper.
Housing includes old sandstone cottages, Victorian villas and newer estates on the edges of town. Many homes sit on slopes or have steps up from the road, which we consider carefully when planning sessions.
Frodsham falls within NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board. Residents are usually treated at the Countess of Chester Hospital or Warrington Hospital, and after discharge we can continue rehabilitation privately at home.
The station has trains to Chester and Manchester, and buses run to Runcorn and Helsby. Getting to the station or the Main Street shops is a common goal for people recovering after surgery.
Helsby has its own sandstone hill, while Kingsley and Alvanley are quiet villages surrounded by farmland. We help people manage hilly lanes, uneven ground and roads without pavements.
Main Street is fairly level, so a trip to the market or a café is a realistic first outing before tackling the slopes up towards the hill.
